Humber College Uses Modo Platform to Redesign Popular Wayfinding App
Humber College, a public college in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, launched its original Campus Compass wayfinding app in 2018 as part of a college-wide digital campus plan. The app was designed to help its 86,000 students navigate more than three million square feet of campus space.
However, two years into the campus wayfinding project, the developer announced it would no longer support the platform. Humber’s Information Technology Services Department took action and moved to the Modo platform. Using Modo’s low-code approach, they quickly redesigned and launched the app in two months with an improved user interface, additional maps, and the inclusion of several helpful tools and features.
Read on to learn more about the Campus Compass App and how it has helped support students and reduced the stress of navigating its multiple campuses.
“With a user-friendly, real-time, navigation experience, we help people find their way around Humber’s campuses, services and amenities. It helps reduce stress or frustration caused by simply not knowing where you are going or how to get there.”
